during one of my vacations in the states my cousin got me onto the beastie boys, he showed me the song “brass monkey” to be exact, so it was only a matter of time until he gave me “licensed to ill” since i really dug what i heard. that album had a huge impact on me and was one of the reasons why i got to appreciate and enjoy rap & hip hop.
it’s one of the best records i own up to date, no doubt.
adam yauch aka. mca passed away today, he was one-third of the beastie boys and a part of this record (and of all the other awesome albums they released, there’s not a single bad one!), so defenitely one of my bigger musical influences - may he rest in peace!
